Troop 463 Reunion

We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America by participating in various activities. Seven of our scouts and leaders will be part of the National Jamboree which will be held in Caroline County Virginia at the end of July. About 70,000 Scouts and leaders from all parts of the United States and other countries are expected to attend. Another group will be representing the Connecticut Yankee Council at a parade on the mall in Washington DC on July 25th. Each local Boy Scout Council from across the U.S. will be participating.

On a much smaller, more local scale, Joe Anderson, a former Scoutmaster and also an Eagle Scout of Troop 463, is trying to put together as much of the troop’s history as possible. As far as anyone can tell, Troop 463 has been in existence since 1965, which makes 2010 our 45th anniversary. Anyone who has been involved with the troop is asked to contact us and let us know any part of our history you might have been part of or whatever fond memories you might have. Old pictures, news clippings or other information would really be appreciated.

The troop would also like to see if there are people interested in some type of reunion picnic, dinner or other gathering. Please send us an e-mail at Reunion@Troop463Northford.Org
